This course lasts about 3h30 and provides a comprehensive introduction to the standards and best practices for the responsible conduct of scientific research (RCR). Through the course, students will explore the elements that promote the responsible conduct of research, such as scientific integrity and research ethics.
Throughout this course, students will become familiar with what constitutes ethically and responsibly conducted research. They will be able to identify and assess potential problems and misconducts, to recognize individual and institutional responsibilities, and to mobilize appropriate mechanisms for resolution. The course will enable them to identify problematic situations in research and deploy appropriate analyses and/or procedures to prevent or manage them.
