You may complete an organizational mandate as part of your supervised project.
Master's degree internships
The Master of Science (MSc) program offers two internships:
- Supervised project (within an organization)
- End-of-studies internships

Terms and conditions
To carry out an internship, outside France, at the end of your studies, you must:
- Have completed your MSc in the past 12 months or less or be in the process of earning your degree (coursework completed and initial version of your thesis or supervised project report submitted);
- Start your internship within 12 months of completing your program;
- Carry out a 6-month internship (or internships of a cumulative length of 6 months, within 2 terms);
- Be registered for the “End of studies internship” (3 non-program credits) and pay the related tuition fees (including extra fees);
- Follow the administrative procedures for finding an internship, registration, and declaring the completion of your internship;
- Check the local legislation (study permit, visa, etc.).
To carry out an internship in France at the end of your studies, you must:
- Be in the process of earning your degree: coursework completed and initial version of your thesis or supervised project report submitted. You cannot carry out an internship in France if you have already graduated.
- Carry out a 6-month internship (or internships of a cumulative length of 6 months, within 2 terms);
- Be registered for the “End of studies internship” (3 non-program credits) and pay the related tuition fees (including extra fees);
- Follow the administrative procedures for finding an internship, registration, and declaring the completion of your internship;
- Check the french legislation (study permit, visa, etc.).
Finding an internship
You are responsible for finding an internship position. However, the School offers different resources to help you:

Approval and Registration
You must complete an application through the forms portal of the Registrar’s Office.

Complete the Approval of an end-of-studies internship form.

After saving the form, submit it from the “My Requests” page of the portal.
End of internship declaration
Upon completing your internship, you must submit the following documents to stage.cycles-superieurs [at] hec.ca (direction[dot]cycles-superieurs[at]hec[dot]ca):
- End of internship declaration (PDF, 270,64 KB) (French only)
- Internship report (20 pages maximum)
Tuition fees
Please note that the end-of-studies internship is considered as a course outside the program stream.
If you are French or a French-speaking Belgian, this means you will pay the international rate (higher fees). Refer to the details of the International Agreements – France and Belgium exemption for more information.
