The course introduces students to operations management, both in industrial businesses and in services. It addresses topics such as operations system design and day-to-day operations management.

- Understand the strategic importance of operations management within services and industrial businesses.

- Situate operations management within a business and the logistics chain and master the related elements of decision making at the strategic, tactical and operational levels.

- Understand the connections between decisions relating to operations management and those that come from other functions of the business.
