This course should enable students to master concepts and techniques related to setting up and applying financial diagnostics.
This course will enable students to apply certain concepts learned in the core curriculum (use of accounting information, economics, management, etc.) to conduct the most comprehensive financial analysis possible. It also aims to raise awareness of the fact that a financial analysis cannot be conducted in isolation using only the financial data available in the annual report; the economic and industrial context in which the company operates must be taken into account. Each of the selected case studies will illustrate the relevance of a particularly important factor in determining the financial assessment. This course relies on the use of Excel for preparing projected financial statements and conducting business valuations.
