By observing class sessions, the doctoral student wishing to teach in a university environment explores practices that promote learning and reflects on teaching values that resonate with him or her. This reflection will lead to the drafting of a teaching philosophy, often required in the hiring process of a new teacher.
The first seminar takes place online. The other two meetings are held in person. Between these three meetings, participants are invited to observe class sessions based on the following themes: elements of a first class session, student interactions and teacher pedagogy. Observation charts will be presented, used and discussed during the workshops, leading to in-depth reflection and the drafting of a teaching philosophy.
