An HEC Montréal alumnus (1982), he has been teaching accounting, taxation and economics at the School since 1985. He founded the specialized graduate diploma (DESS) in taxation and the Master of Laws, taxation option, and held a number of senior administrative positions at the School, including: first Director of Executive and Continuing Education (2003) and Director of the School's graduate diploma programs. He was also Quebec Auditor General (2004–2011).
