An alumnus of HEC Montréal (1939), he was President and CEO (1951–1970) and later Chair of the Board (1970–1986) of United Auto Parts Inc. Also a corporate director, he sat on several boards of directors, most of them English-speaking, at a time when he was the only Francophone member. He was also a board member of many charitable organizations, including the Fondation Lionel-Groulx (1963–1968).
