Added to its EQUIS (1999) and AMBA (2002) accreditations, HEC Montréal receives AACSB International accreditation, making it the first business school in North America to hold this triple seal of quality.
The trilingual Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in French, English and Spanish is launched—another first in North America.
The EMBA McGill-HEC Montréal program is created. This bilingual program is designed for managers with at least 10 years’ experience and now has more than 700 alumni.

The 25th Jeux du commerce are held at the School. The HEC Montréal team takes first place overall in this interuniversity competition founded by BBA students in 1989.
The Decelles Building is 50 years old. Since its opening day, it has undergone a major metamorphosis. The renovations carried out in 2013 earned HEC Montréal an award of excellence in architecture in the annual competition held by the Society for College and University Planning.
The Association des licenciés, now known as the HEC Montréal Alumni Association, celebrates its 100th anniversary. Today, it boasts more than 115,000 members.
The grand opening of the Hélène-Desmarais Building, attended by Premier François Legault, marks the return of HEC Montréal to the downtown core. With state-of-the-art facilities, the building reflects the School’s commitment to excellence and to developing the leaders of tomorrow.
