An HEC Montréal alumnus (1957), he devoted his career to the field of insurance. This accomplished businessman was also an experienced corporate director and champion of good governance. He helped his alma mater by chairing the 1993 fundraising campaign and sitting on the co-ordinating committee for the Gérard Parizeau Fund, which makes annual awards to leading lights in the fields of history, economics or management. Today he is Chair of the Board of the Fonds de solidarité FTQ.
