One of the School’s youngest directors, he took the reins at age 34. During his term (1975–1982) he created the Research Office, updated the academic programs, founded an MSc in management and launched the joint PhD program. In addition, he encouraged closer dealings between the School and Anglophone SMBs and introduced student evaluations of professors, not to mention serving as the first Director of the Gestion journal (1976).
