An HEC Montréal Professor (1978–2016), he is one of Quebec’s best-known experts on the economic situation. He was attached to the Institute of Applied Economics for 37 years, and taught economic analysis and forecasting as well as penning a book entitled Prévoir l’économie pour mieux gérer. From 2008 to 2016, he helped manage and promote the School’s pension and heritage fund, as its Chair.
