We are pleased to announce the six members of the HEC Montréal alumni community who will be honored at the 2025 Gala Luminescence, to be held on October 30 at the Hélène-Desmarais Building.
These exceptional individuals were selected for having made a mark on the business world and society at large in one of five categories: Leadership and Performance — Large Business, Social Impact, Leadership and Performance — Small and Medium Business, Entrepreneurship and Global Recognition.
Bicha Ngo (HEC Montréal 1995)
President and CEO, Investissement Québec
President and CEO of Investissement Québec since 2024, Bicha Ngo leverages her solid expertise in finance and strategic development. Under her leadership, the investment and financing sectors have experienced sustained growth, driven by targeted and agile approaches. A forward-thinking leader who listens to businesses, she focuses on tailored solutions to support Québec’s economic ambitions and strengthen the competitiveness of key players in our economy.
Martin Munger (HEC Montréal 2002)
Executive Director, Food Banks of Quebec
As Executive Director of Food Banks of Quebec, Martin Munger uses his expertise in management and philanthropy to combat food insecurity across the province. Under his leadership, the network responds to 2.9 million requests for assistance each month through 1,300 partner organizations. Previously, Martin Munger headed the Quebec division of the Kidney Foundation and the annual campaign of Centraide for the Greater Montreal area. He is also a member of the board of directors of Équiterre.
Marilyne Vallières (HEC Montréal 2010)
President and Co-Founder, Signalisation de Ville inc.
Marilyne Vallières is a chartered professional accountant by trade and a seasoned entrepreneur in the signage industry with over 10 years of experience. Winner of the CEO of the Year award from Les Affaires newspaper in 2023, she was named one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women (WXN) the following year. Beyond these successes, Marilyne Vallières embodies fundamental human values that resonate within her company and among her partners.
Amir Karim (HEC Montréal 1992)
President and CEO, Polykar
Under Amir Karim’s leadership, Polykar has experienced remarkable growth, becoming one of Canada’s leading manufacturers of eco-friendly packaging. Thanks to his expertise in business transfer and human capital development, he has played a key role in the company’s growth, which has tripled in size since 2018 and is now recognized as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies. At the same time, he serves on several boards of directors in the fields of industry, education, and philanthropy
Fatima Beyina-Moussa (HEC Montréal 1994)
Chief Executive Officer, Equatorial Congo Airlines (ECAir)
President, African Foundation for Education (FAE)
Fatima Beyina-Moussa is the CEO of Congo's airline, ECAir, and the first woman to be elected President of the African Airlines Association (AFRAA). With a remarkable international career and a passion for education issues, Fatima Beyina-Moussa is the founding president of the African Foundation for Education, through which she has launched several initiatives, including the creation of the American International School of Brazzaville, BEM Management School Brazzaville in partnership with BEM Africa, the renovation of local schools, and the organization of numerous courses in partnership with HEC Montréal.
HEC Montréal and the HEC Montréal Alumni Association will also bestow the honorary title of Distinguished Alumnus on Charles Emond at the Gala.
This is in recognition of his outstanding career, integrity, and commitment to the School and society.
Together, the five winners of the HEC Montréal Alumni Awards as well as the 2025 Distinguished Alumnus embody excellence, creativity, leadership and social commitment. They are a source of inspiration not only for the HEC Montréal family, but also for the entire business community and society in general.
