Emergency Fund for students affected by the COVID-19 crisis

April 3, 2020

HEC Montréal and the HEC Montréal Foundation and Alumni Relations Office have announced the creation of an emergency fund to help students affected by the current pandemic.
Fonds-urgence

This fund will provide scholarships to those who are experiencing financial difficulties and whose current semester could be compromised following the upheavals brought about by this unprecedented crisis.

As noted by Michel Patry, Chief Executive Officer of the HEC Montréal Foundation:“Many students have lost their job and hundreds of those who were enrolled in an exchange program had to shorten their stay overseas or had difficulty returning to Quebec. Some are even confined abroad! All these adjustments come at a cost, and many of our students now find themselves in a very precarious financial situation. While government assistance programs can ease the financial burden for some, many do not qualify. This emergency fund will therefore be able to meet the urgent and temporary needs of these students.”

A crisis that calls for solidarity

In order to be able to meet the growing demand and needs of students, the strength of our community is called upon more than ever.

We need your support!
