Students (HEC Montréal, Université de Montréal, Polytechnique Montréal)

  • Undergraduate (all) : 7 items ; 14 days
  • Graduate and PhD (HEC Montréal) : 20 items ; 28 days
  • Graduate and PhD (UdeM, Polytechnique) : 15 items ; 28 days

Conditions: HEC Montréal id card or library user card is required.

Fees and fines

  • Overdue fine: $0.50 per day per document (maximum $20.00 per document)   
  • Lost external user card: $10.50 
  • Benefits card (paid membership): $100.00 or more per year 
  • Overdue materials from Course Reserves: $1.10 per hour overdue per document (maximum $20.00 per document)
  • Recall fees (reserved documents): $10.50 per document (after 48 hours, plus overdue fine)
  • Fee to replace a lost document: replacement cost + $20.00 administration fee + overdue fine (if applicable)

Course Reserves

Materials can be placed on Course Reserves upon request by an instructor. They are available at the circulation desk.

  • Valid HEC student card required
  • Duration: 3 hours

Borrowing from other universities (BCI card)

The BCI (Bureau de coopération interuniversitaire) card is available to all students registered in a program as well as to all teaching and non-teaching staff. BCI card holders can borrow documents from other libraries in Quebec and from participating libraries in Canada.

The BCI card is issued on September 30th of each year for the duration of one year ; therefore, a new card must be requested each year. Come visit us at the circulation desk to obtain one.
