Archives festives

The Archives Festives exhibition highlights 30 years of the Document and Archives Management Services of HEC Montreal.

With a rich history spanning over a century, the School’s archives provide a precious cultural and historical legacy. It contains an inestimable source of information on its past and the organizations and the people who have shaped it.

The first directors were great collectors. As such, each director acquired, conserved and yielded to the school a number of documents, plans, correspondence, photos and unusual objects. Thanks to these legacies, our diverse archives cover various topics from cooperative and agricultural economy to Quebec advertising or the fashion industry!

With an impressionistic character, this exhibition reveals roughly two hundred unique pieces selected among the 250 archives from the SGDA. These delightful discoveries gather the most beautiful and intriguing objects, as well as the most representative and unusual objects of the collection.

The exposition concisely evokes thirty years of activities of the Archive document management service of HEC Montreal by presenting its richest resource: a passionate team devoted to the mission of preserving and providing access to the School’s as and the business world’s legacy. No exhibition has ever been this daring and colorful!
