Preparing for course selection and registration

1

Note all important dates

Check the academic calendar to see when your course cart will be available.

To find the exact dates and times of your enrollment period, log in to HEC en ligne > Manage Classes > Enrollment Period. You can also check the academic calendar.

2

Check your program requirements

Log in to HEC en ligne > Academic Progress to see which courses you must complete to meet your program requirements. Note: Do not consult the structure of your program via the Programs menu on the website, as it is subject to change and is provided for information purposes only.

Consult the section below to see the number of credits required to be a full-time student.

3

Plan your program

Learn about courses and credited activities
Read the descriptions of courses that interest you.

See what credited activities are offered for your program.

Make sure you have already completed any prerequisites.

Check the class schedules, instruction modes, and locations
Course offerings vary from one term to the next. Search in HEC en ligne to find the schedules for any courses that interest you.

Be sure to check the instruction mode and location of courses

Note: Exams will not necessarily take place in the same time slots or locations as regular courses.

4

Fill your course cart

Do this in advance! As soon as your course cart is available, add the courses that you are interested in taking.

5

Register

Once your enrollment period opens, quickly confirm your registration for all courses in your cart.

You would like to enroll in a course, but it’s already full? You can enter your name on the waiting list and you may attend the class, but a place will not be reserved for you.

  • If a place comes open before the enrollment deadline indicated in HEC en ligne, you will be notified by email that you are enrolled in the course. If you are already enrolled in a course offered at the same times, you need first to cancel the conflicting course within 72 hours, in order to keep your place on the waiting list.
  • In the event no place becomes available before the enrollment deadline indicated in HEC en ligne, your place on the waiting list for the course will automatically be removed from your schedule. You will then receive an email informing you that you are no longer signed up for the course and are therefore unable to access this course in ZoneCours.
  • If you would like to cancel a course on the waiting list, you need to do so within the prescribed timeframe. No change fees will be applied.
  • To find out the maximum number of credits you can add to the waitlist each term, check HEC en ligne > Manage Classes > Enrollment Period.
