Les Médaillés de la relève awards: three companies honoured

May 21, 2014

On May 20, the jury for the Les médaillés de la relève competition, presented by the National Bank/HEC Montréal Entrepreneurship Institute, PwC and BCF Avocats d’affaires, crowned three firms: Laiterie Chalifoux, Lallier Ste-Foy Honda and Transit Truck Bodies. The competition, now in its eighth year, salutes the successful transfer of a privately owned Quebec business by its owner to a team of family members or managers from within the organization.

“The strength of successions in Quebec is a positive sign for our economy,” says Jean-Paul Gagné, jury chair and Editor Emeritus of Les Affaires. “This competition once again introduced us to some talented entrepreneurs, driven by exceptional entrepreneurial spirit. We want to congratulate the finalists for their commitment and professional engagement.”

As Honorary Chair, Andrew Molson, Chair of the Board, RES PUBLICA Consulting Group, noted: “We are proud to celebrate entrepreneurs who decide to keep their firms going and to consolidate their operations by choosing succession. We salute everyone who entered the competition and congratulate the winners for their bold approach and business acumen.”

Congratulations to the winners!
