MSc students win big in an international human resources competition

November 17, 2014

Leila Boujaid, Louise Brinkmann, Valérie Grenier-Paquette and Anne-Marie Roberge, all MSc students in Human Resources Management (HRM), took top honours in the final round of the Carlson International Human Resources Competition, on November 15, at the University of Minnesota.

The competition for graduate students is divided into two parts. In the first round, carried out at the team’s home university, the four-member team has 24 hours to develop and present a written solution to an international HRM case. Then the six best teams are invited to take part in the final round, held at the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. In that round, teams have 16 hours to solve a case and then present their solution to industry professionals.

This is the second straight year that HEC Montréal students have done well enough in the first round to reach the final round, held from November 13 to 15. Once again this year, the HEC Montréal team finished on the podium, this time on the top step.

Congratulations!
