The EMBA McGill – HEC Montréal program creates a new scholarship for Indigenous managers

December 3, 2013

The EMBA McGill – HEC Montréal program is pleased to announce a new merit scholarship program aimed at Canada’s Indigenous population. Each year, a manager of Indigenous origin will be chosen to receive a $40,000 scholarship.

Since its launch in 2008, the program has welcomed a number of managers of Indigenous origin, including Ken Rock (EMBA 2013) and Raphael Picard. Mr. Picard, President of Consultant Innus and a current EMBA participant, says the program has been a great help in his career: “I’ve learned a tremendous amount during the EMBA. It’s been a great way to update myself, especially thanks to what I’ve learned from my classmates. I’ve gained a whole new perspective on development.”

The scholarship selection committee will consider all applications from executives, senior and mid-level managers, experienced professionals and entrepreneurs of Canadian Indigenous origin. The next application deadline is June 1, 2014. For more information, candidates may write to info@embamcgillhec.ca.
