July 18, 2013

Mathieu_PerronOn July 13, in Quebec City, Mathieu Perron, BBA student at HEC Montreal and member of the Université de Montréal Carabins golf team, won the 79th edition of the Duke of Kent tournament, one of the three most important amateur golf tournaments in the province.

After scoring 70 (-2) in the first round, Mathieu was three shots off the lead. His second round, on the next day, was nothing short of extraordinary. Posting a score of -3 before the six last holes, he then fired a seven under par, ending the day with a score of 64 (10-under total). This is the lowest score ever achieved in this tournament, which has been held annually since 1935.

Congratulations, Mathieu!
