Éva Thouvenot-Hébert, Carabins athlete of the year

Eva_Thouvenot-HébertSoccer player Éva Thouvenot-Hébert, a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) student, was proclaimed female athlete of the year at the Gala Méritas held by the Université de Montréal Carabins, on March 28.  

Éva had a superb season in the blue, white and black Carabins colours. In addition to leading the country in scoring, the forward tied a team record by racking up 18 goals in 14 regular season games. The 23-year old Montrealer was named Player of the Year by the Réseau du sport étudiant du Québec (RSEQ) last fall, and also played on the provincial and Canadian first all-star squads. She stood out again at the Canadian championships, playing on the all-star team that took the silver medal.

Other HEC Montréal students were also saluted at the Carabins Gala. Skier Olivier Lacaille (MSc, Finance option) received the Méritas Leadership award for his sports and academic achievements and commitment, as well as the title of athlete of the year on the downhill ski team. Iannick Lamarre (BBA), for his part, was named athlete of the year on the golf team.
