Alexandre Jeanneret Is the Recipient of the AFFI-NYSE EURONEXT 2010 Award

Alexandre Jeanneret, Assistant Professor with the Department of Finance, recently won the AFFI-NYSE EURONEXT 2010 award for his doctoral thesis entitled Three Essays in International Finance, which he defended at HEC Lausanne. His thesis was directed by Professor Bernard Dumas and evaluated by professors Éric Jondeau and Rajna Gibson.

His thesis comprised three essays in international finance, dealing with topical issues in the areas of financial markets, businesses and economies. He considered the subjects from both theoretical and empirical angles and offered some economic initiatives as solutions.

The jury for the award, made up of professors Hervé Alexandre (Université Paris Dauphine), Thierry Foucault (HEC France), Christian Jimenez (Diamant Bleu Gestion), François Quittard-Pinon (Université Lyon 1) and Patrick Sentis (Université Montpellier 1), had to choose from seven theses. The jury members emphasized the very high quality of all the theses they had to consider.
