HEC Montréal, First in Quebec on the PA2 CGA Canada National Exam in March 2011

May 18, 2011

HEC Montréal congratulates the students in the Short CGA Graduate Program in Professional Practice for their excellent showing on the PA2 national exam in March 2011. The pass rate for students in the School’s short graduate program was 91%, as compared to the average national pass rate of just 69%.

This outstanding performance earned HEC Montréal first place, with the top pass rates among Quebec universities, and with two of the three honourable mentions for Quebec students. They went to Razvan Pralea and Alexandre Salvas, in recognition of their exceptional results.

The results earned by students in the HEC Montréal Short CGA Graduate Program in Professional Practice are in line with the School’s unbroken record of successes. Since the beginning, the School has racked up results far superior to the national and provincial averages on The Ordre des CGA exams. It is tangible evidence of the quality of the program we created a few years ago and the skills of our teaching staff.

The Short CGA Graduate Program in Professional Practice, offered since September 2008, provides quality training designed to prepare students to deal with the realities of the CGA profession. It fosters their ability to integrate, analyze and synthesize information and helps them build on their knowledge of accounting, assurance, finance, management, taxation and professional ethics and integrity.
