HEC Montréal Reopens Its Summer School
Last year’s success gives MosaiC new impetus

The Summer School on Management of Creativity in an Innovation Society is back for its second session this year with a packed two-week line-up of activities, from July 2 to 17. Like last summer, the first week will be held in Montréal and the second in Barcelona, one of the most creative cities in the world.
This year’s program has been enhanced with the addition of themes like citizen creativity and concern for the environment and sustainable development in architecture. MosaiC, the research and transfer centre on managing creativity in an innovative society, which is organizing the Summer School, has attracted some new partners in recent months. The Institut en recherche électrique du Québec (IREQ), Phéromone and Ingenio will be swelling the ranks of this laboratory for ideas and innovative practices.
The three new partnership agreements will allow two employees from each of the partner firms to attend the Summer School, so as to share their innovative and creative approaches with all program participants.
“These new partners are sure to enrich the exchanges among participants,” emphasizes Lucy Stojak, Co-ordinator of the Summer School. “Their respective core activities are widely varied, and this diversity will help to shed new light on different aspects: science and research, for IREQ, the structural transformation of a Web communications firm, for Phéromone, and the development of a creative subsidiary, Ingenio, in a well-established group like Loto-Québec.”
The intensive Summer School program, in English, gives privileged access to creative practices in diverse fields ranging from science to industry, culture and the arts. Creative processes and their management will be considered from every angle and analyzed from a multidisciplinary, international, intercultural and intergenerational perspective. By the time they “graduate” from our Summer School, participants will be well equipped to apply this new knowledge to their respective work settings and processes.
Again this year, the Summer School can count on the support of important partners such as the National Bank, Bell, Dynamite Garage, Egzakt, Ubisoft and the Conférence régionale des élus (CRÉ) de Montréal.
