Three Outside Mandates for Michel Patry

HEC Montréal Director appointed President of one association and Board member of two others

September 8, 2009

HEC Montréal Director Michel Patry has taken on three new mandates on top of his regular duties.

In June, Mr. Patry was appointed President of the Canadian Federation of Business School Deans (http://www.cfbsd.ca/) for a two-year term. As its name suggests, the CFBSD is an umbrella group for business schools across the country, allowing their deans and directors to join forces to address common concerns.

Mr. Patry has also agreed to sit on the Board of Directors of AACSB International – the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (http://www.aacsb.edu/). His term as a Director of the Association, which grants business school accreditations, will run from 2009 to 2012.

Lastly, he was also appointed a member of the Board of Directors of the Global Foundation for Management Education (www.gfme.org), a joint initiative of the AACSB and the European Foundation for Management Development. The Foundation aims to identify opportunities and address challenges in the practice of management education worldwide.
