Entrepreneurship and Innovation Contest for Students and 2007-2008 Alumni

The Centre d'entrepreneurship HEC - POLY - U de M is proud to launch the 12th edition of its annual Entrepreneurship and Innovation contest. Students and 2007-2008 graduates of the School with ideas for a business are invited to enter by May 4.

A real springboard for student entrepreneurs

Since the first edition of the contest, in 1998, the Centre has received 563 ideas and has helped 129 business start-ups, with nearly $900,000 in awards. The businesses were launched by 260 students and alumni,105 of them from HEC Montréal, who have created 74 firms that continue to operate.

Valuable support from partners

By giving young entrepreneurs an opportunity to achieve their entrepreneurial ambitions, the contest partners contribute to Quebec’s economic development. Thanks to Canada Economic Development, Bell, BMO Financial Group, the Friends of Polytechnique of Montreal, the Fondation du Maire de Montréal pour la jeunesse, Jean-Pierre Chartrand/Novacap/Réseau Capital, Univalor, RSM Richter Chamberland, Lafortune Cadieux S.E.N.C.R.L., HEC Montréal, Polytechnique Montréal and the Université de Montréal.

The winners of the 12th edition of the contest will be announced in November 2009.
