Luciano Barin Cruz holds HEC Montréal’s Research Professorship in Organizational Models and Social Impact and heads the Scaling Entrepreneurship for Economic Development (SEED) network, which seeks to strengthen the local promotion of microfinance and entrepreneurship in developing countries. He also co-leads “Measuring Beyond,” an initiative developed by HEC Montréal in collaboration with Oxford University to develop and share knowledge on measuring corporate performance using environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors. Additionally, he is involved in the McGill-HEC Montréal EMBA program as director of the Sustainability Mindset module.
He also chairs the board of directors of the Maison de l’innovation sociale and is a member of the board of Groupe 3737. He has collaborated on numerous projects with the Inter-American Development Bank, the Bureau d’intégration des nouveaux arrivants à Montréal, Desjardins International Development, Space for Life, the Government of Quebec, TV5 Québec Canada and others.
His research has been published in the Academy of Management Review, Business & Society, the Journal of Business Ethics, the Journal of Cleaner Production, the Journal of Management Studies, Management Decision, Organization and World Development.
