Marie Pier Germain embodies the new generation of Canadian women entrepreneurs. She has been Vice-President, Sales and Marketing, of Germain Hotels since 2021.
Marie Pier holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Queen’s University and is a McGill–HEC Montréal EMBA graduate. She joined the family business in 2006, managing office space rentals and acting as senior consultant to the residence sales team in Calgary. She went on to manage the team of architects, designers and engineers responsible for the construction and renovation of the company’s hotels and then took the helm of Alt Hotel Montreal in 2016 as General Manager.
Her human-centric management style is driven by her curiosity, determination, creativity and integrity. She is as committed to meeting the needs of her team as she is to ensuring every Germain Hotel guest enjoys a memorable experience.
Marie Pier is also passionate about giving back to the community. Among the organizations she is involved with are the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, Tourisme Montréal and Lab-École. She was appointed Vice-Chair of the Board of the Canada Council for the Arts in 2021.
