Admission and Registration

Eligibility

The only enrolment criteria are experience and level of responsibility. There are no training prerequisites unless otherwise stated in the “Is This for You?” section of the description.

Application procedures

Select the desired program and click on “Register Today.”
Complete the registration form and send it to us as quickly as possible, as many of our programs fill up quickly.
You will be sent an email confirmation that your form has been received. An official invoice will follow by email.

Fees

The cost of the seminar is shown in the description.
Taxes apply to all seminar fees.
Unless otherwise indicated, the amount includes all materials, a breakfast, snacks and lunch at "Le Cercle" restaurant.

Payment

Fees are payable by credit card or cheque (made out to “HEC Montréal”). Interac payments are not accepted.

Enter your credit card information in the secure online registration form (HTTPS); complete the bottom portion of your invoice and return it by mail; or contact Executive Education HEC Montréal at 514-340-6001 or 1-844-340-6001.

Cheque

Complete the bottom portion of your invoice and return it with your cheque, payable to “HEC Montréal”), or simply write the reference number in the memo line of your cheque and send it to the address below.

Payment Terms

Fees must be paid in full prior to the start of the program.
Participants from outside Canada are required to pay the full amount by credit card upon registration.

Your seminar allow you to benefit for its duration from a membership at Coop HEC Montréal, giving you access to rebates and discounts.

Cancellations and Substitutions

New cancellation policy - April 25, 2022

  • To cancel their registration, participants must provide written confirmation to inscriptions.ed@hec.ca
  • Participants will incur 100% of the total registration fee if the cancellation is reported 72 business hours and less before the start of the activity.
  • NB: Special cancellation terms apply to the following program: CFA ® Preparation Courses (Level I, II and III)
  • HEC Montréal reserves the right to cancel any activity. HEC Montréal’s only liability in the event of a cancellation is to refund all registration fees received.

Substitution policy

Symposiums and conferences

  • Participants will incur 100% of the total registration fee if the cancellation is reported 10 working days or less before the start of the activity.
  • No tax receipts will be issued for symposium fees.

Parking is not included. All-day parking is available on site for $19/day (subject to change).
Seminar participants are eligible for member pricing at the Coop HEC Montréal.

Some seminars will take place outside Montreal, in Laval or the South Shore. Please see the seminar description for details.

Accommodations

Your stay in Montreal

We recommend you book with one of the hotels in downtown Montreal, which is about a 20-minute drive away from the HEC Montréal campus. The city’s tourism bureau has a wealth of information for visitors: http://www.tourisme-montreal.org/accommodations.

Executive Education HEC Montréal has special arrangements with the following hotels:

  • Le Germain or the ALT Hotel
    Get a special rate and Groupe Germain will make a donation to the HEC Montréal Foundation. Participants in seminars and other activities at Executive Education HEC Montréal are eligible for a corporate rate in all Groupe Germain establishments. For every overnight stay at Le Germain boutique hotel (located in Old Quebec City, downtown Montreal, downtown Calgary, Toronto’s entertainment district, and Maple Leaf Square) or at an ALT hotel (Quebec City, Quartier DIX30 or ALT Pearson), Groupe Germain will make a donation to the HEC Montréal Foundation, equivalent to 10% of the price of the room.

Certification, Accreditation and Credits

Certification

Certification through Executive Education HEC Montréal is a mark of excellence and credibility. To achieve certification, you must master the material covered and receive a passing grade for an exam or final project, depending on the program.

Accreditation

An official certificate of completion will be issued by HEC Montréal to seminar and program participants who have met the specified requirements.

No such certificates will be used for symposiums, special events or CFA preparation courses.

Credits

Participants will not receive university credits for their attendance.

HEC Montréal’s obligations under Bill 25

By registering for an Executive Education HEC Montréal activity, you authorize HEC Montréal to collect your personal information.

Your information will be used by us to contact you regarding your registration and payment and will be given to instructors to allow them to better prepare their courses. Your information may also be used to offer you discounted prices on course fees. Additionally, your information will be used for statistical purposes and to keep you informed of other Executive Education HEC Montréal programs and events. You may customize your communication preferences or unsubscribe from all communications at any time.

Your personal information is collected using an online form.

The following information is mandatory for all registrants: full name, email address, phone number and billing details.

Executive Education HEC Montréal is unable to provide training to anyone who does not supply this mandatory information.

You have the right to request access to your records and to have any inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous information corrected.

Are these courses recognized as eligible training activities under Quebec’s workforce skills development legislation?

Your investments in the programs offered by Executive Education HEC Montréal are eligible for recognition under the Act to Promote Workforce Skills Development and Recognition.

Are the facilities at HEC Montréal accessible to persons with disabilities?

Do I need my laptop?

If a course requires the use of a laptop, you will be notified by email to bring it.

Is there Wi-Fi access on site for my personal use?

Program participants have access to Executive Education HEC Montréal’s Wi-Fi network, located in the northeast wing of the third floor.

Are you equipped to meet special dietary requirements?

Yes. Please indicate your needs in the “Dietary Restrictions” section of the application form.

Note that there are no meals included in the CFA® and PRM™ preparation courses.
