Since moving into the Hélène Desmarais Building in Montreal’s business district in August, we have celebrated several firsts in this new location that we would like to share with you: we welcomed our first group of participants, got our first certification program underway and hosted our first major event. These are all sure signs of a bright new era for Executive Education HEC Montréal!
In early September, the staff of Centraide of Greater Montreal took part in a customized five day training program on leadership in philanthropy — the very first program to be offered in our new building!
Instructor Gaëtan Namouric, who taught a module on the art of the pitch, was delighted by the Hélène Desmarais Building, which he described as an architectural tour de force.
Our first Certification in Ethics and Compliance program to be taught in the new location began on Thursday, September 21, in the Varsovie Room, which offers a breathtaking view of the surrounding cityscape. The program’s 27 participants enjoyed lively exchanges throughout the day and rounded things off in style with a cocktail hour on the rooftop terrace.
Participant Anaïs Fournier found the program fascinating and enjoyed “learning in a modern building in the middle of downtown.” Fellow participant Rita Metta described it as “a stimulating experience in a warm and welcoming environment, alongside a group of people who really care about governance.”
Next AI’s fifth annual Venture Day was held on September 14, making it the first major event to take place in the new HEC Montréal building. The event showcased 45 startups — by far the largest program cohort to date — and was attended by 450 people who came out to meet the rising talents behind these ventures.
If you haven’t already explored our magnificent new building, be sure to take a moment to do so when you join us for a training session or one of our events.
