Recent appointment to benefit course participants
Executive Education HEC Montréal has been an active member of the worldwide UNICON consortium of 110 business schools since 2018. UNICON’s members are the global reference for university-based executive education.
In connection with the 2020 UNICON Team Development Conference, hosted by Thunderbird School of Global Management at Arizona State University, Serge Lafrance, Director of Executive Education and Adjunct Professor, HEC Montréal, was appointed co-chair of the UNICON Benchmarking Committee.
The Benchmarking Committee analyzes market trends and identifies best practices in executive education.
In the words of Mr. Lafrance, “As we all come to grips with the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, this appointment will have a direct benefit for Executive Education HEC Montréal learners, in that it will let them tap into a broader pool of knowledge from some of the top business schools in the world.”
More specifically, participants will have access to:
- High-level information on digital transformation, available in a remote and blended format, as well as the implementation of best practices
- State-of-the-art technology to optimize participants’ experience during seminars and customized training programs
- Insights into recent trends regarding the development of new competencies (remote team engagement, telework, etc.)
- Optimal post-COVID-19 support (new business models, value creation, etc.).
Mr. Lafrance will be joining two sitting co-chairs, Eric Bergemann of the MIT Sloan School of Management, and Nora Anderson of the University of Minnesota. Other committee members hold executive education leadership roles at the University of Pennsylvania (Wharton), Stanford, Cornell and the University of Southern California.
