The Canadian Professional Sales Association (CPSA) is joining forces with Executive Education HEC Montréal and the HEC Montréal Sales Institute to advance sales-related education and standards and raise the bar for competitiveness in Quebec and Canada.
A partnership to promote sales as a career of choice: Accredited training and professional certification at every career stage
The Canadian Professional Sales Association (CPSA) is teaming up with Executive Education HEC Montréal and the HEC Montréal Sales Institute as part of a five-year partnership to advance French-language sales training in Quebec for undergraduate and graduate students as well as working sales executives.
Together, these three highly respected entities will help improve the perception of sales as a career choice, strengthen the skills of new graduates and working sales executives and build recognition of the profession through specialized CPSA certifications.
CPSA has developed titles applicable to each stage of a sales career, in partnership with top industry employers and leaders who have an intimate knowledge of the skills required to get ahead in this field. The following specialized certifications prepare sales professionals to achieve more and move forward at a faster pace:
“As a Canadian association dedicated to sales professionals, we are on the same page as leading business schools when it comes to advancing the profession,” says Peter Irwin, President and CEO of CPSA. “By partnering with the HEC Montréal Sales Institute, we have new opportunities to reach out to Quebec members and enhance the value of the profession in the province through improved access to high-calibre sales courses and the professional recognition that certification affords.”
Jean-Luc Geha, guest professor and director of the HEC Montréal Sales Institute, agrees: “At HEC Montréal, we understand that businesses cannot grow without a solid sales strategy and a skilled team in place. That is why we have created a Centre of Excellence in Sales, which will be the authority in terms of education, knowledge transfer and research in Quebec and throughout Canada. We are already committed to providing our undergraduate and graduate students and Executive Education enrollees with the best possible education in this area, and our partnership with CPSA will serve as a complement to our course offerings, with sales certification that confirms that they are at the head of the class.”
To kick off this partnership, CPSA will be sponsoring the upcoming sales strategy symposium organized by the HEC Montréal Sales Institute, to be held on the morning of Thursday, May 17, 2018, in an attempt to answer the question “Is the Sales Industry in the Post-Millennial Age?”
The keynote speaker for this event, which is open to the public, will be Mike Ahearne (PhD, Indiana University), author of the best-selling book Selling Today: Partnering to Create Customer Value and research director of the Sales Excellence Institute. CPSA members are entitled to a $20 discount on their tickets (discount code R@CPSA), available for purchase at symposiumstrategievente2018.eventbrite.ca.
CPSA partners with sales professionals, team leaders and organizations across the country to develop knowledge and skills to improve sales performance.
As a promoter of excellence in sales, CPSA invests in programming and training to help individuals and businesses get ahead by boosting their sales productivity.
More than 20,000 members benefit from learning, event and networking resources and a range of exclusive benefits. Professional sales training and the national certification program provide the development and recognition opportunities that employees want and employers look for.
CPSA fosters ties between sales professionals, employers, businesses and universities as well as the private and public sector to advance the sales profession and hone the competitive edge in Canada.
