OPUS card

Technological issue on certain smartphone platforms are preventing some students from accessing the mandatory OPUS card attestation on HEC en ligne. There are two options:

  • Print your OPUS card attestation at home or at a School's computer lab and present it to the STM.
  • Make sure the pop-up blocking feature is disabled on your smartphone before you go to the STM.

Please note that printing will not be available at the Office of the Registrar or the Student Services.

The OPUS card is the electronic card used for public transit in the Greater Montréal area. All full-time students residing on the Island of Montreal and attending an institution recognized by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MEES) are entitled to the student fee.

To obtain the OPUS card, you must have the following documents:

  • Electronic OPUS card attestation (on HEC en ligne)
  • Proof of age with photo (driver's license, health insurance card, student card including date of birth or passport)
  • $15 (STM photo studio) or $14 (at HEC Montréal) in cash, exact change

The photographer checks the authenticity of your documents, takes your photo and collects your payment. Your OPUS card is delivered to you on site.

For more information, visit the STM website.
