Martin is a scientist having a special expertise in technology transfer and intellectual property (I.P.) management.
Before joining the team of the Research and Knowledge Transfer Office at HEC Montréal, Martin has been a scientist in various Canadian universities (Ph.D. in Biochemistry - Université de Montréal; and postdoc in human genetics -McGill University). Also, he has obtained a DESS in Technology Transfer from Université de Sherbrooke, where he acquired strong knowledge about the valorization processes of the research and inventions emerging from universities.
Martin’s professional background led him to become a Regulatory Affairs Advisor in biotechnology, as well as a Technology Transfer Advisor in valorization firms and more recently, a Patent Advisor in private practice.
Martin is a team player, both in sports and in the workplace. He is an active member of various networking organizations involved in valorization such as the FORPIQ (International Intellectual Property Forum - Quebec), the Montreal chapter of the Licensing Executive Society and BioTech Annecto.
