The TAGE-MAGE (this test is available in French only) is an assessment and selection tool for candidates seeking admission to a business school.
The approximately two-and-a-half-hour test assesses candidates’ aptitudes in the following three areas: problem-solving, verbal skills and logical reasoning. The test comprises 90 multiple-choice questions; it is divided into six sections with 15 questions each.
No candidate may take the test more than once between December 1 of one year and November 30 of the next.

Candidates are highly encouraged to prepare well before attempting the TAGE-MAGE.

Candidates living in Quebec
The test is given at HEC Montréal. For information, refer to the Timetable and rooms Web page.
Candidates living outside Quebec
Candidates may take the test through the FNEGE (Fondation Nationale pour l’Enseignement de la Gestion des Entreprises).
For information, refer to the test timetable available on the official TAGE-MAGE site. Dates of the following year are generally available in November.

Tests given at HEC Montréal
Scores for tests taken at HEC Montréal are mailed within 2 or 3 weeks of the test date.
No test scores are sent by fax, e-mail or phone, nor is any information regarding average test scores for a given session.
Candidates are responsible for sending test scores to another university.
Tests given at a location other than HEC Montréal
It is the candidate's responsibility to authorize HEC Montréal to consult his or her results.
