As a large state-owned corporation and wholly owned subsidiary of State Grid Corporation of China, Sichuan Electric Power Corporation (SEPC) is the Sichuan province’s main power company. SEPC is well positioned to meet power demand in the province and export its power to China’s eastern region thanks to its activities in power development, construction, generation, transmission and distribution.

A subsidiary of Sichuan Electric Power Corporation, Sichuan Electric Power Corporation Training Center is a comprehensive training centre established on the base of the Chengdu Electric Power College (CEPC) and the Sichuan Electric Power Corporation College (CCP). State Electric Power Corporation has accredited the Training Center in leadership and business administration training and in the training of directors of rural electric power bureaus. The National Ministry of Personnel has approved the Training Center as a training and evaluation institute for professional managers. In addition, the National Ministry of Information Industry has certified the Training Center as a network engineer-training institute.

Located in the Huanhua Cultural and Scenic Area near Dufu’s Thatched House, the Training Center boasts cutting-edge teaching equipment as well as simulation laboratories, a multimedia teaching room, a computer center and a multifunctional training building, thereby providing trainees with a complete one-stop learning environment.

The Training Center has 648 staff members, including 130 middle or senior professionals, 313 of whom are full- or part-time teachers. It cooperates with many domestic universities and institutes, as well as with Canadian, Australian and British universities. Thanks to its dynamism, the Training Center keeps updating and creating public or tailor-made programs that meet the evolving training needs of the Chinese energy sector.
