Getting a team of employees to perform to expectations and achieve corporate goals is a stimulating challenge, and one for which diverse strategies exist. What do effective managers do day after day to help employees perform well? How does one go about building a manager-employee relationship that leads to success? How does one do a better job of working with individuals and groups? How can the various intervention approaches be used effectively? A number of people management themes are studied, including mobilization, management of individual differences, motivating and involving employees, and managing problem situations. In addition, various people management practices that have proven successful are explored.
