Today, professionals from a variety of milieus are called on to deal with management issues. Whether you are an engineer, doctor, nurse, accountant, sales representative, social worker or teacher, you need to learn how to reconcile management with the demands, knowledge and skills of your profession. This course will help you bridge the two worlds. You will get up to speed on the basics of the manager’s role, examine the functions specific to the role of professionals in management situations, and learn everything you need to know to properly and enthusiastically assume your new functions as a professional manager.

The following key questions will be discussed and answered:

  • As a professional occupying a management role, how much distance do I have to put between myself and activities and projects that are directly related to my field and that have contributed to my personal credibility?
  • Can I be a coach and still play on the front line?
  • How exactly do I go about delegating tasks to my co-workers instead of doing them myself?

Overall, the goal of the seminar is to give professionals access to knowledge and the chance to practice certain skills and examine their beliefs so they can fully realize their management tasks.


The program is intended primarily for specialized professionals who already occupy a management position or are about to move into one. It is also useful for HR managers and specialists looking to ensure the seamless integration of individuals who are assuming new management responsibilities and challenges.
