Looking to provide information, influence decisions, motivate others, bring about a change or sell an idea to your co-workers, the executives in your organization or other groups? These are challenges that you need to face if you want to build a successful management career. Mastering oral communication is a vital skill. The way you express yourself speaks to your conviction, the clarity of your thoughts and your degree of sincerity.

In this hands-on program, participants will deliver a series of oral presentations and then receive structured, practical and constructive feedback from the workshop leaders. All presentations will be videotaped.

Provide participants with the basics of successful public speaking:

  • planning your presentation;
  • organizing your ideas;
  • minimizing your prep time;
  • using your voice and body language to make your point;
  • conquering anxiety;
  • making the most of visuals.

+   Method

The program features a combination of theoretical presentations and practical exercises. As part of the hands-on approach, each participant will have to prepare and deliver two presentations (30 seconds and one minute) on the first day. During the second day, participants will have the opportunity to deliver two one-minute individual presentations and prepare one five-minute group presentation.

The instructors will provide their feedback after each presentation, using an assessment grid.
