To fully leverage these opportunities, companies must be able to accurately measure corporate performance. They need to know where they have come from, where they are heading and how they stack up to the competition. They have to be able to read the signs along the way in order to stay on the road to success and arrive safely at their destination. Setting objectives, selecting the proper indicators, conducting benchmarking analyses and creating a management dashboard are all essential steps toward maximizing operational performance.
