When organizations are confronted with change, they must take a closer look at their basic strategies. What direction should they take? What kind of company do they want to become? These strategic choices always generate tension between what organizations must do to stay competitive, what they want to do to accommodate management’s preferences and values and what they can do with the capacities and resources at their disposal. The challenge for managers in this context is to develop skills that will help them make and successfully implement realistic strategic choices.

In this seminar, you will learn about the key stages of a strategic analysis and how to use the main analytical tools and grids so that you can incorporate them into your business’s strategic management processes.

Program
Objectives

This seminar focuses on how to develop and execute strategies. It is impossible to know how to formulate an effective strategic approach without understanding everything this implies in terms of priorities and resources. It is therefore necessary to go beyond simple strategic planning and examine the underlying concepts and principles of strategic management. This seminar will also examine the most recent developments in this field.

Among the themes to be addressed are:

  • the power of an effective business strategy and model
  • a strategic view of the competitive landscape
  • competition based on resources and skills
  • how to establish strategic priorities
  • creating value and gaining a competitive advantage
  • developing a strategic action plan
  • the challenges of strategic leadership.

The main goal of this program is to reinforce participants' ability to develop and implement a corporate strategy by helping them:

  • familiarize themselves with the key steps of strategic analysis
  • learn how to use leading strategic analysis tools and grids
  • integrate these solutions into their strategic management tasks.
