To increase their performance or maintain their competitiveness, businesses need to call into question their work organization, which is traditionally based on functional structures. Instead, the emphasis needs to be placed on “breaking down the silos” that exist between the organization’s various units in favour of process-oriented management. However, this calls for improved cooperation between the various stakeholders, and increased sharing of information and responsibilities, to yield better results for the client.

You will learn how process-oriented management differs from traditional management methods focused on functional structures. You will also explore the authority relationships and mechanisms for collaboration that need to be deployed in such a context.
