Several enduring trends such as globalization, the widespread use of digital technologies and market personalization require businesses to adapt their practices. This adaptation often involves the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and procedures. A wide range of approaches can be used, including business reengineering, Six Sigma, Lean, PVA, Kaizen and TQM, to name but a few. What are the main characteristics of each of these systems? How are they different? Which one is best for your business?

This seminar will be of interest to managers interested in learning more about each of these continuous improvement systems so they can determine which is best suited to their business or validate the choice they have already made. Eight different approaches will be presented. The key elements, implementation stages, human resources requirements and outcomes of each will be explained. Practical exercises will allow participants to link the theoretical content to their own needs. Finally, several tools used with each of these approaches will be presented and concrete examples given of their use, including a slide show of a recent industrial visit to Japan.
