As highly focused business experiences, international exchanges and the Campus Abroad program are invaluable ways to launch into a successful career. The countdown is starting: are you on board?
At HEC Montréal, the world is your business case. We have 100 partner establishments with which to conduct international exchanges in Europe, Asia and South America. In the words of Meryem, a B.B.A. student, “The exchange was magical. You can’t put it into words; you just have to experience it.”
International Exchanges
Campus Abroad
International exchanges offer an invaluable introduction to other cultures and other ways of doing things. The Passport to the World program provides an opportunity to spend a term abroad in one of the 34 countries where HEC Montréal has established exchange agreements with partner establishments. Choose from a world of possibilities, quite literally!
What do our students think about these exchanges? Meet Laure, Raphaël and others who’ve gone on an exchange (video in French).
The exchanges are about more than just academics: you’ll meet other students, making lifelong friends and business contacts along the way.
The exchanges are also an opportunity to hone your second-language skills and find out whether an international career is really up your alley. To help make sure that a lack of money doesn’t prevent you from enjoying such an enriching experience, HEC Montréal offers a number of funding solutions.
In addition to helping you perfect a second language through immersion in the ambient culture, exchanges are also an excellent means to test the waters to determine whether an international career is for you.

Condensed into three-week jaunts, Campus Abroad is an unparalleled opportunity to experience life abroad. Supervised by a professor, you’ll attend specialized courses while immersing yourself in a new business and cultural environment. Because the focus here is on gaining experience, you’ll visit companies and meet their directors, people who play a leading role in the local economy.
Just ask the B.B.A. students who went to Brazil in summer 2010 and they’ll confirm that Campus Abroad trips are invaluable learning experiences, not to mention amazing opportunities to discover another country’s people and culture (videos in French).
