This year, the Campus Abroad program for B.B.A. students, under the responsibility of the Department of International Business, gives HEC Montréal students the chance to live an immersion in international business of two weeks abroad. This program gives the students a privileged access to the cultural, political and socioeconomic realities thanks to the expertise and network of qualified professors. The Campus Abroad is also a three-credit course during which students discover a business culture through meetings with high ranked managers and foreign government officials. It is also the opportunity to apply on the field knowledge acquired at HEC Montréal. But foremost, the Campus Abroad is a life experience, unforgettable memories and new friendships. 1. Pre-departure training in Montréal
The pre-departure training allows you to better understand the realities of the country you are about to visit as well as the businesses you will visit during your stay.
2. Stay abroad
Duration of about two weeks, the stay abroad is the highlight of your Campus Abroad. Each program is unique and it contains the following elements: company visits, government organizations visits, seminars with local speakers, group projects, cultural visits and meetings with students.
3. Debriefing
Upon their return to Montréal, students must submit their final report to the professor. The group meets one last time to come back on their experience and integrate their knowledge.
The choice of a Campus Abroad destination must be made considering several important aspects:
How to participate (length: 7:12)
Argentina/Chile (length: 9:14)
Testimony - Sharing a 2011 Campus Abroad experience (length : 4:00)
