Language requirements to the preparatory year in French

Knowledge of French

Must have completed at least two years of high school or college studies in French
or
meet one of the following requirements:

SAT Subject Test	for each section :	for each section :
« French »	700	between 620 and 700⁽¹⁾
or « French listening »	700	between 640 and 700⁽¹⁾
DELF test ⁽²⁾	B2	B1⁽¹⁾
TFI test ⁽²⁾	750	between 605 and 750⁽¹⁾
TCF Test	B2 (with a minimum of B2 for each examination)	B1⁽¹⁾ (with a minimmum of B1 for each examination)

⁽¹⁾ Admission is conditionnal on successful completion of the 6 credits French course intermediate level (offered at HEC Montréal) before the beginning of the first semester classes.

⁽²⁾ Exemption : A student admitted after passing the TFI with a score of 850 or higher or the DELF with a score of B2 or higher will be exempt from part 1 of the ORTHOGRAM test required for graduation.
