Ph.D candidates are not concerned by international students fees. They only have to pay general application fees. 

International students with a study Permit will be charged an additional $175 due to a more complex admission process, excluding Ph.D. candidates

Application fees are non-refundable and subject to change without notice.

We do not accept credit cards or cash for PDF format application forms.

Required documentation

 

+  Master of Science in Administration

School record
  • originals of all official, complete and detailed transcripts, or copies certified by the school(s) in question1;
  • photocopy of your degrees attesting to your previous university studies1;
  • list of courses currently being taken but which do not appear on the transcript (point out the name of the school and the term in question for each course).
Others documents
  • proof of your professional titles (order, association, etc.), if applicable;
  • two letters of recommendation (preferably from professors).

Language requirements

Results from language tests taken somewhere other than HEC Montréal must be sent to us directly from the organization that gave them.

    Specify the professional and intellectual concerns that are motivating you to do an M.Sc. Also explain your choice of specialisation.

    What kind of job do you expect to have once you have earned your M.Sc.
    (type of company that interests you, the position you would like to have, nature of your responsibilities, etc.)?

     

  3. Research interest:
    Briefly describe your research or supervised project interests.

Every answer must be around 750 words long.
  1. Describe your strengths and weaknesses and explain how you manage these personality traits in your everyday life.

  2. Why are you interested in obtaining an MBA and why have you chosen the HEC Montréal MBA program?

  3. Describe a personal achievement that allowed you to distinguish yourself and explain why you are proud of this achievement.

2. Research:
- Indicate the specialization that you intend to choose
- Even if you have not made a final decision, briefly describe the research project that you intend to undertake.

3. Selecting professors:
Specify the names of two or three HEC Montréal professors who might supervise your research (see www.hec.ca on the link for Faculty).

4. Financing your studies:
- How do you plan to finance your doctoral studies in administration?
- State any contractual obligations, agreements, etc. that you have, if applicable.

5. If you have made more than one admission application to a Ph.D. program please indicates the chosen specialization and the academic institution for which you applied.

Sending documents


  • Following your request for admission, you will receive an email indicating your HEC student ID number required to access your HEC en ligne account in 3 business days.

 

  • Five days after the reception of this email, you must submit all required documents in PDF format via HEC en ligne under the “Admission” heading.



    You must reply to the acknowledgement receipt sent by HEC Montréal or by email at documentsenligne@hec.ca.

     

Documents not available in PDF format must be sent no later than the admission deadline for application.


Submission of the original or certified copies is required if you received an offer of acceptance from HEC Montréal.

    Definition of status
    Pending : Document sent
    Received : Application under review
    Unreadable : Poor quality document (incomprehensible or impossible to read all the information). Please resubmit.


  • Admission decision: 4 to 6 weeks after the admission deadline. For the Ph.D. program, the waiting time can be up to 10 weeks.
