Étape 1 – Rassembler les pièces requises

Supporting documents

  • Copies of official transcripts and of diplomas
    • Not required for studies done at HEC Montréal.
  • Proof of compliance with language requirements
    • Collegial studies (CEGEP):  No proof of compliance to provide.
    • Others studies or test : Copies of official transcripts or test score. The official scores on tests taken outside of HEC Montréal must be transmitted directly by the organization responsible.
  • Curriculum vitæ
  • Answer the following question
    • In which direction do you wish to take your career by pursuing an MBA at HEC Montréal? (500 words maximum)

      If you have previously applied for admission, you must also answer the following question:
    • How has your situation changed since you applied last time? Make sure you explain any change in your work experience, studies and volunteering (250 words maximum).

  • Three video essays
    • Once they have completed their online applications, candidates will receive in the week that follows a link to the video essay platform in order to record their essays. Candidates should submit their essays within 7 days.

  • Two letters of recommendation
  • GMAT, TAGE MAGE or GRE official scores

Status in Canada

You must provide the following documents:

  • valid certificate of Indian status issued by the federal government of Canada.
  • valid Inuit status card issued by the Makivik Corporation.

  • birth certificate issued by Directeur de l'état civil with your place of birth, and your father’s and mother’s full names (long-form certificate only).

  • both sides of your Canadian citizenship certificate or card.
  • Québec Selection Certificate (if applicable).
    If you do not have that certificate and you are a Canadian citizen born outside of Canada, complete the Attestation of Québec Resident Status.

When applying

French student

  • birth certificate with your place of birth, and your father’s and mother’s full names. 
  • valid passport of the French republic.

French Belgian student

  • valid passport of the Kingdom of Belgium and a copy of your status card validating your Belgian francophone identity.
    OR
  • valid passport of the Kingdom of Belgium and your certificate of higher secondary education or your bachelor’s or master’s diploma delivered by a compulsory educational institution or a higher education institution under the authority or financed by the French Community of Belgium.

When you arrive

French and French Belgian students

  • Quebec Acceptance Certificate (CAQ), delivered by Immigration-Québec.
  • Student permit, delivered by Immigration Canada.

When you arrive

  • Quebec Acceptance Certificate (CAQ), delivered by Immigration-Québec.
  • Student permit, delivered by Immigration Canada.

You must provide the following documents:

  • birth certificate with your place of birth, and your father’s and mother’s full names.
  • both sides of your permanent resident card or your IMM-1000,  IMM-5292 or IMM-5688 immigration form.
  • Québec Selection Certificate (if applicable).
    If you do not have that certificate and you are a permanent resident of Canada, complete the Attestation of Québec Resident Status.
