"Experience is the best teacher", as the old saying goes. At HEC Montréal we think so, too, and that's why we have set up a program to introduce students and professors to the heads of some of the world's largest firms.
Every month, as part of this innovative program, a business leader comes to share his or her experience, expertise and ideas with the School's MBA students and professors.
The day typically begins with a tour of the School, followed by a meeting with students and professors, and winds up with a luncheon talk with businesspeople. The formula is flexible, and can be adjusted to take account of senior managers' demanding schedules.
For students, this is a chance to learn about the guest's company, to benefit from the advice and vision of an experienced manager and to discuss issues in today's labour market and solutions that are being put into practice. The event also allows HEC Montréal professors and the guest to express the views of the academic and business communities and to discuss matters of common interest.
