Five of the 10 Quebeckers on the CPA Canada Common Final Examination (CFE) Honour Roll are HEC Montréal graduates.

One of the HEC Montréal alumni, Philippe Sénécal, received one of the two CPA Canada Gold Medals for achieving the highest standing in Quebec, tied with Kaihua He of McGill University.

The other four alumni who made the Roll for their outstanding results are Jérôme Antoine Xavier Blais, Alexandre Duguay, Félix Henri and Maude Massicotte.

This year, 215 graduates of the School’s DESS en comptabilité professionnelle – CPA program and 31 candidates in the national program passed the two CFE synthesis exams, a crucial step that all chartered professional accountants (CPAs) in Canada must complete in order to obtain their professional designation.

Four interns in the Department of Accounting Studies also passed the CFE.

All in all, 1,211 candidates throughout Quebec passed the pan-Canadian exam this year.

HEC Montréal extends its most sincere congratulations to all its candidates and its alumni on the Honour Roll!
